Have you checked hub bore diameters? Hondas and Miatas share bolt patterns and most OEM wheel offsets but Hondas have a larger hub bore so they don’t get to enjoy Miata goodness. Well...that’s before you shave down the hubs yourself like some have done.

Someone out there swapped a volvo 5 cyl. Into that. Sounds properly nice. I winder about a t5r, ecoboost, ohhhh perhaps a klde 2.5 with itb’s from a triumph 955i....that one sounds all nasty too.
